“Grand Overland Papua – Sulawesi – Flores - Komodo Expedition”
28 Days/ 27 Nights (Tour Code: INA-01)

Day 01: BALI ON ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at the Airport Bali we drive to the Hotel for check in. Free Program.

Day 02:  BALI - JAYAPURA - WAMENA

Take off to Jayapura Papua in the middle of night via Timika and from Sentani Jayapura further flies to Wamena by Baliem Valley. After the arrival in Wamena we go first to the Hotel. In the afternoon we can walk around the town of Wamena.

Day 03: WAMENA – SOGOKMO – KURIMA - KILISE

After breakfast we drive 40 minutes to Sogokmo, the starting point of the trekking with your guide, cook and local porters. Trek will be 4 hours thru Kurima District and passing some Dani sweet potatoes gardens. Afternoons arrive at village and you may walk around, while your cook preparation for dinner. Overnight stay at local guest house of Kilise with tent.

Day 04: KILISE – IBIROMA - SYOKOSIMA

After breakfast, you are proceed to descend the steep hill down to traditional hanging bridge across Baliem river. Today's walk is a little harder with narrow and slippery paths. But you may also enjoying the nature's beauty by stopping in the small waterfall to get refreshing while the cook serving lunch. After this part, the path gets smaller and tricky until you find another river with no bridge to cross. Our trek about 4-5 hours to Syokosimo village.

Day 05: SYOKOSIMA - HITUGI

The trekking today is the shortest one. After breakfast you are proceed to continue the trek up to a village called Hitugi. Climbing up the hill all the way to the village is something different, but the scenery is incredibly beautiful combined with small villages and local people working in the field. You arrive to the village by noon where the cook is ready to serve lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Hitugi village with tent. (Walk approx. 3 hours)

Day 06 : HITUGI - KURIMA - SOGOKMO - WAMENA

After breakfast, leaving Hitugi back to Sogokmo. The walk today is the longest one, but the terrain is not very difficult as trails wider and the panorama is so evicting. Passing Kurima village before ending up in Sogokmo where the car ready to take you back to Wamena. Lunch served en route. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : WAMENA - JIWIKA (Pig feast & dance) - WAMENA

After breakfast, drive 30 minutes to Jiwika in the North of Baliem valley to see the 250 years old Mummy. Then walk 10 minutes to village of Anemoigi where you can see the Dani Mock battle and Pig feast. You will see how the Dani make fire traditionally, kill a pig with bow and arrow and cook them into the hot-burned stone with vegetables and sweet potatoes. Lunch box will be provided. After lunch, climb the salt pool where salt pool exist on top of Mili Mountain or visit the cave of Wosilimo. Afternoon return to hotel.

Day 08 : WAMENA - JAYAPURA - MAKASSAR

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back to Makassar via Jayapura. Arrival at airport of Makassar and transfer direct to hotel.

Day 09: MAKASSAR - BIRA

After breakfast drive to Bira. On the way we will visit Bissapu waterfall. After lunch we continue drive to Bira for accommodation. In the afternoon you have time to walk on the sandy beach at Bira and waiting for the sunset. 

Day 10: BIRA

After breakfast we go to Liukang Island by boat for snorkeling and back to Bira in the afternoon.

Day 11: BIRA - SENGKANG

After breakfast we drive to Sengkang located in the center of the Former Buginese Kingdom. Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Sengkang. In the afternoon we will try to catch the beautiful views of the sunset over the Lake Tempe. We will cross the lake by motorized canoe and we will visit the fisherman families who do live on the floating villages. Overnight at guesthouse in Sengkang.

Day 12: SENGKANG - TORAJA

After breakfast we drive to Toraja. Luch at Puncak Lakawang with very nice view of Gunung Nona/ Erotic Mountain. After lunch we continue drive to Toraja. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 13: TORAJA

After breakfast, a full day exploring Toraja. First visit Lemo to see rows of Tau Tau statues and hanging graves. Suaya the cliff graves then Londa, to see an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. At Kete Kesu we can see Tongkonan, old rice barns, and traditional woodcarving. Lunch will be served in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 14: TORAJA

After breakfast, another full day discovery tour of Toraja, this time visiting Pallawa and Nanggala, traditional Torajan villages renowned for their large Tongkonans and rice barns. Lunch in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 15: TORAJA – PARE PARE

After breakfast, we set out on a half day trip to Batutumonga, enjoying superb views over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. Lunch will be served in local restaurant. After lunch we drive to Pare Pare for. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 16: PARE PARE - MAKASSAR  

After breakfast we drive back to Makassar. On the way we will stop at Kampung Berua , where we will exploring a beautiful village by canoe and take a short walk . Here we will see the spectacular karts rocks and the beauty of the village and prehistoric cave. In the afternoon we continue drive back to Makassar for accommodation.

Day 17: MAKASSAR – DENPASAR

Breakfast at hotel and than city tour to visit Fort Rotterdam and the old Paotere Harbor. After that transfer to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar for the flight to Denpasar Bali. Check in at hotel.

Day 18: DENPASAR - MAUMERE - MONI

Upon arrival in Maumere and driving directly to Moni. Visit Lisedetu village to see the traditional houses of Lioness. Accommodation and Dinner at KELIMUTU ECOLODGE.

Day 19: MONI – KELIMUTU - BEJAWA

It’s worth to experience the sun rise a Proceed at Kelimutu three colored crater lakes You will begin your day early in the morning ( start abt 0.4.00 o’clock).Once you arrive in Kelimutu volcano you will find yourself something like nowhere – incomparable with known told stories – photos or even moving pictures you have seen before. After admiring the nature wonder drive to Bajawa. On the way you will experience the dramatic change in both nature pattern and ethnicity. You could be found yourself in the Lio ethnic’s environment – pay at call to their villages Koanara village  and try to comprehend the locals daily life or just having closer look into their work of architectures. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ende. Continue drive to Bajawa with Stop at Penggajawa BLUE stone beach, here you could see local woman collect the stones to sell and building the house of garden. Accommodation and meals at Hotel.

Day 20: BAJAWA  - RIUNG - BEJAWA

After breakfast take a boat trip to explore the spectacular sea garden of seventeen islands. The reef of “Seventeen Islands” is very spectacular – with a variety of hard and soft corals and lots of colorful fish. There are 17 islands in total, with plenty of idyllic white sand beaches for swimming and a multitude of coral species and sea creatures to discover. Lunch & BBQ will be provided at the island, sail back to Riung then driving up to Bajawa. with stop at Soa - a natural hot spring water for taking bathing. Bajawa – is a cool and small town as a capital city of Ngada Regency (home of Ngada, Riung and Nagekeo tribes).  Dinner & Accommodation at hotel.

Day 21: BEJAWA – BENA – TODOLELA

Early morning drive to feet at WAWOMUDA to trek the volcano with its crater by 1 ½ hours. then back to Bajwa to have breakfast. Lunch box will be served en route, trekking down to Bena & Todolela villages to explore traditional village of Bajawa tribes. Visit Luba & Bena - are megalithic villages where people do preserve their ancestral spirits believed and way of life which can be seen in their "Ngadhu" and "Bhaga" - conical thatched roof huts symbolized their Male and Female ancestral spirits. On the way you will stop on the slope of Inerie active volcano for taking pictures. Trekking down to Todolela village to overnight and dinner at houses of villagers.

Day 22: TODOLELA – GURUSINA – MALANAGE –BEJAWA

After breakfast trekking down to Gurusina village with passing trough the very interesting strong agriculture influenced area. Water buffaloes and other domestics animals like pigs and goats are on the way, also vanilla, candle nut, cacao, white pepper, coffee and other various kinds of plantations. Trekking continue to Malanage hot spring to have taking bating on meeting point cool & hot water. After lunch driving back to Bajawa to overnight stay and dinner at hotel. 

Day 23: BEJAWA - RUTENG

Breakfast at hotel, Continue overland to Ruteng - a cool and small town as the capital city of Manggarai Regency where major Manggarainese tribe dwelt. Lunch will be provided enroute, Stops will be made at Aimere village see "arak" distillation and fresh palm juice tapping and at "Ranamese" Lake,and terrace rice field at Mano area. On arrival direct check into ST MARIA ( BMBC). Afternoon visit “Liang Bua” the home of HOMO FLORENSIES.

Day 24: RUTENG – DENGE - TREK WAEREBO

After having breakfast driving towards south coast Dnge village the starting point  trekking to waerebo – the oldest traditional village of Manggarainesse. The rain forest along the trek to Waerebo is one of the wealthiest areas in Indonesia in biological terms. The forest is simply like a huge Garden of Eden. The walk through the forest with deferent vegetation is of great interest, from the families of orchids, palms, ferns, etc. Natural voice of various type singing birds will entertain you a long the trip. The clear and fresh water river on the way up to the village is a good point to take rest. In the village of Waerebo, visitor can see conical houses, which one of it is a ‘drum house’ with very unique architectures, place for holding meetings, rituals and Sunday morning prayers. The drum house is a communal building for a clan or clan branch, symbolizing the ideal unity of patrilineal descent. The place has been developed as tourism site; sleeping on the traditional house and having local cuisine together with local community is very wonderful and unforgettable moment for the visitor.

Day 25: WAEREBO - DENGE – LABUAN BAJO

After breakfast trekking down to Denge village then continue Labuan Bajo- the Western tip of Flores island. On the way stops will be made at ITENG/Narang  where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of rice fields with lush and dry hills as the background, and other places according to local happenings. Stop in Waeramu beach for swimming, Lunch box provided. On arrival direct check into your hotel for accommodation and dinner on your hotel.

Day 26: LABUAN BAJO – RINCA - KOMODO

Morning after breakfast at your hotel transfer to the pier of Labuan bajo to visit the island of Komodo Dragons Rinca, after 2 1/2 hours sailing start your trekking walking through the typical dry forest to explore the Island of Komodo dragon, you will find not just the Dragons but also many wild animals like, deer, wild buffalo, long-tailed macaque and wild pig also numerous of birds. Keep your eyes look up as sometime you will find the young Komodo dragons on the trees. Return to boat and proceed to Kalong Island in Komodo Island to see the fling foxes set out from the mangrove tree at 06 - 07 pm .Lunch, Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 27: KOMODO – PINK BEACH – MANTA POINT – LABUAHAN BAJO

After breakfast sail forward to Lohliang the Komodo Ranger station, start your trekking on Komodo ,walking through the typical dry forest to explore the Island of Komodo dragon, you will find many wild animals like, deer  and wild pigs and also numerous of birds such as lesser-sulphur-crested-cockatoo, collared king fisher, etc. A local ranger will lead you through this natural preservation, Return to boat and proceed to Pink beach for swimming and snorkeling in unspoilt coral reef amongst colorful tropical fish. Sail toward MANTA POINT to exploring Huge Mantas by snorkeling even watching from your boat trip. But we do not guarantee these objects, depending on the weather good or not lunch on board and afternoon back To Labuan Bajo. Overnight at hotel.

Day 28: LABUAHAN BAJO – DENPASAR

 After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to Bali.

27 Days/ 26 Nights (Tour Code: INA-02)

Day 01: Makassar – Bira

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, meeting services and than drive to Bira. On the way we will visit Bissapu waterfall. After lunch we continue drive to Bira for accommodation. In the afternoon you have time to walk on the sandy beach at Bira and waiting for the sunset.  

Day 02: Bira

Day 09: Makassar - Jogyakarta


After breakfast we take a short city tour to visit Fort Rotterdam and Paotere harbor to see the traditional boat. Afterwards transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch the flight to Jogyakarta. On arrival transfer to Hotel for accommodation. After lunch city sight-seeing tour of Yogyakarta, visit Sonobudoyo  Museum, the Sultan's palace, the water castle at Taman Sari, The Batik Home Industry and Kota Gede silver works center. Return to hotel.

Day 10: Jogyakarta

Breakfast at hotel. Morning tour to the world famous Buddhist Temple "Borobudur" which is situated 27 miles North West of Yogyakarta. Stop will also be made at Pawon and Mendut Temples. Return to hotel.  Then  visit to the 9th Century Prambanan Hindu Temple, Plaosan and Kalasan temples which situated 9 miles from Yogyakarta. Return to hotel.

Day 11: Jogyakarta – Surabaya - Bromo

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight Surabaya - East Java Province. Upon arrival at airport of Juanda of Surabaya, direct drive for 3 hours to Sukapura. Accommodation at Grand Bromo hotel.

Day 12: Bromo - Surabaya

Early morning drive by a jeep to Cemoro Lawang village and Mount Penanjakan (2770 m ) where you can admire the beautiful sunrise and unique view. After sunrise we continue to Mt. Bromo and pass the spectacular “sea of sand”, ride on a horse and finally climbing 245 stair cases to reach the rim of crater. After enjoying the lovely sunrise and view of Mount Bromo, return to hotel for having breakfast. Free at leisure until time  to transfer to Surabaya for accommodation at Garden Palace Hotel.

Day 13: Surabaya - Mataram

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Mataram - Lombok island. On arrival at airport of Mataram, our guide will meet you and transfer to hotel for accommodation. Full day tour to observe the native Sasak tribe. Drive south to Rambitan/Sade village to see their traditional hyperbolic-shaped huts supported by roughly hewn wooden beams and learn about traditional customs and culture. On the way, stops will be made at Sukarare to observe hand weaving, and Penunjak - one of the many pottery villages in Lombok , where clay pots of simple design and primitive  style are produced. Return  to your hotel.

Day 14: Lombok

Breakfast at hotel. Full day tour explores the coral island of Gili Air, one of three small islands in Northwest Lombok. There, you can skin-dive or snorkel in the offshore underwater gardens, with  their spectacular corals and marine life. (Diving and snorkel fares are not included in this tour fare ). Or, go  swimming in the crystal clear water and laze around on the white sandy beach. Lunch boxes will be provided. On the return several stops will be made including  Lendang Banjur, a typical country market, and Pusuk to view the beautiful panorama of the northern coast of the island.  Afternoon return to Hotel.

Day 15: Lombok – Sumbawa Besar

Breakfast at hotel. Driving the neighbour island Sumbawa is really an unforgettable experience. Drive through Lombok island to Labuan Lombok harbor, taking a ferry crossing Alas strait. On arrival at Poto Tano harbour, proceed to Sumbawa Besar for accommodation at Kencana Beach Hotel.

Day 16: Sumbawa Besar - Bima

Breakfast at hotel.  Visiting Dalam Loka Palace which built up on 99 wooden stilts, Bala Kuning (Yellow house ) the  private museum of Sumbawa Royal family. Lunch at local restaurant then drive to Bima around 250 km or about 5 hours drive via well surfaced highway, on the stops for taking picture and according to local happenings. Accommodation and dinner at Lawata Beach Hotel.

Day 17: Bima - Komodo

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Sape harbor about 40 km to the South East (1 hour) and board on a wooden boat (a local boat which have been modified to enable and suitable for carrying tourist. Equipped by radio navigation, electricity, toilet, one big cabin which has 6 - 12 beds, life jacket and mattress.) Then cruise to Komodo island for 6 hours. Late afternoon arrive at Komodo island.  Accommodation on board.

Day 18: Komodo – Rinca – Pink Beach – Kalong Island

After breakfast walk for 1.5 miles to Banugulung to see the activities of the giant Monitor Lizard "Komodo Dragon" which was scientifically described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS which is up to 3 m long and about 150 kg weight. The total number of these lizards is estimated at 5.000 - 7.000 inhabited in Komodo, Padar, Rinca island and Western Flores. Return to the based and an opportunity to swim or snorkel on clean and white sandy beach. Lunch will be served on boat and continue to Kalong Island to see a thousand bats. Accommodation on board.

Day 19: Kalong Island – Labuan Bajo – Ruteng.

Breakfast on the boat and continue cruise to Labuan Bajo. Then drive overland to Ruteng - a cool and small town as the capital city of Manggarai Regency where major Mangarainese tribe dwelt. On the way stops will be made at Lembor and Cancar where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of rice fields with lush and dry hills as the back ground, and other places according to local happenings. On arrival direct check-in at Hotel Agung III or similar.

Day 20: Ruteng - Bejawa

Breakfast at hotel.  Onto Ruteng Puu - Manggarainese traditional village to see their unique slander-shaped houses and be with local people. Continue drive to the East to Bajawa - another cool and small town as a capital city of Ngada Regency (home of Ngada and Nagekeo tribes). Stops will be made "Ranamese" Lake, and snapshot at magnificent peak of Mt. Inerie - an active volcano and Aimere for having lunch. On arrival explore traditional village of Bajawa tribes. Visit Bena - a megalitic village where people do preserve their ancestral spirits believed and way of life which can be seen in their "Ngadhu" and "Bhaga" - conical thatched roof huts symbolized their Male and Female ancestral spirits. On the way stop on the slope of Inerie active volcano for taking pictures. Return to town for accommodation and meals at HOTEL KEMBANG or ARIESTA.

Day 21: Bejawa - Detusoko

Breakfast at hotel. Continue drive overland for 5 hours to Detusoko (175 km). Stops will be made at Wogo - another traditional Bajawanese village through scenic road where you can enjoy beautiful panorama of the valley with sea as the back ground and  Boawae - village of Nagekeo tribes to observe their tradition and culture, Ende for having lunch at a local restaurant, Onekore village - the center of  "Ikat" hand-weaving with Endenese typical style. Proceed to Detusoko. Accommodation and meals at Missionary Guest Houses - ST. FRANCISKUS.

Day 22: Detusoko - Kelimutu - Maumere

After an early morning breakfast at 05.30 drive up to Kelimutu volcano to see the three colored lakes. Upon arrival walk for 1,5 km and then ascend 127 steps to top to view Kelimutu's green, blue and black lakes. Kelimutu was discovered in 1914 by a Ducht Geologist; at time the lakes were red, blue and white. Descend to Moni village to view beautiful hand woven clothes and visit Kowanara village famous for its traditional Lionese houses. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Paga beach. Proced to Maumere with several stop made according to local happenings. Accomodation and meals at Flores Sao Resort.

Day 23: Maumere - Kupang

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free at leisure until time transfer to the Airport to depart to Kupang - Timor island. On arrival at Eltari Airport of Kupang, transfer to KRISTAL HOTEL or similiar for accommodation and dinner.

Day 24: Kupang – Soe - Kupang

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Soe, a distance of 110 kms for 3 hours through  beautiful panoramas of rice fields, farms, jungles and savanna. Stops will be made for taking pictures and local happenings. Upon arrival at Soe visit several villages  in order to  learn about local culture and beliefs. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Soe. Return to Kupang with stops at Oebelo, a Rottenness village famous for its unique music instrument called "Sasando", made from "lontar" palm leaves, and Tarus village to observe the process of making "laru" - local liquor. Return to hotel.

Day 25: Kupang – Waingapu - Waikabubak

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Waingapu - Sumba island. On arrival at Mau'Hau Airport of Waingapu - East Sumba, our guide will meet you and transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch drive to overland to Waikabubak - West Sumba a distance of 137 km (4 hours). On the way stops at Waibakul and Pasunga (Anakalang area) to see the greatest stone graves and traditional houses of West Sumbanese . On arrival at Waikabubak direct check-in to HOTEL MANANDANG or similiar for accommodation and meals.

Day 26: Waikabubak - Waingapu

Breakfast at hotel. Visiting some villages which located at small hills nearby the city of Waikabubak such as Puunaga, Tarung and Tabar, then to the local market to see the activities of local people in selling and buying their daily need and hand-weaving. Return to hotel for lunch. Drive back to Waingapu for acoomodations at MERLIN HOTEL or similiar for accommodation and dinner.

Day 27: Waingapu - Denpasar

Breakfast at hotel. transfer to the airport for flight to Denpasar- Bali. On arrival at Airport of Denpasar, transfer to Hotel for accommodation.

Grand Overland Sumatra – Sulawesi – Papua
29 Days/ 28 Nights (Tour Code: INA-03)

Day 01: MEDAN

Arrival in Medan. We will fetch you from the airport and transfer to Bukit Lawang (3 hours).  Check in at Hotel and free program.

Day 02-04: TREKKING

 "Jungle Adventure Overnight" (3 days/2 nights trip) in the Gunung Leuser National Park. Our trekking starting at 08.30AM in to the jungle and try to find the “ORANGUTAN” and the other animals of Sumatra. Two nights we will sleep at the tents. The last day of trekking we will back to Bukit Lawang by traditional tube rafting down the river Bohorok. Check in at Hotel.

Day 05: BUKIT LAWANG – TANGKAHAN – BUKIT LAWANG

Tangkahan off Road Adventure" (1-day tour): Off road tour by 4-wheel drive rural Indonesia to Tangkahan (2.5 hours / note: no air-con), 1 hour elephant ride and lots of fun when washing elephants in the river Reed. In the afternoon drive back to Bukit Lawang for accommodations.

Day 06:BUKIT LAWANG - BERASTAGI

Bukit Lawang - Brastagi. You will make a trip along a fascinating route to the mountain village of Brastagi in the Karo Highlands. Here you can view two active volcanoes, the Sibayak and the Sinabung. In Brastagi you can also visit fruits market and Peceren village, a traditional Karo Batak village. Overnight stay in hotel Brastagi Cottages or hotel Sibayak in Brastagi.

Day 07: BERASTAGI – LAKE TOBA - SAMOSIR

Brastagi - Samosir on Lake Toba. Beautiful route through the Karo highlands via pineapple, clove and ginger plantations. Stops during the trip at the tribal kings' house of the Simalungun Batak in Pematang Purba and at the Sipiso Piso falls. In the afternoon we arrive in Prapat from where we cross Lake Toba to the island of Samosir. The car goes with us. 2 overnight stays hotel Toledo or hotel Carolina on Samosir Island, right at the lake side.

Day 08-09: SAMOSIR TOUR

Two days Samosir - tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo. On this beautiful island we can visit the typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings' tombs, Ambarita with its execution tables and in Simanindo you can see traditional Batak dances.  The next day we can visit another interesting place around the island of Samosir.

Day 10: SAMOSIR – PADANG SIDEMPUAN

Samosir - Padang Sidempuan / Sipirok. In the early morning you will cross the lake to Prapat from where you leave for Padang Sidempuan. Along the southern shores of Lake Toba with its lovely ricefields and huge Batak kings' graves you travel through the Toba highlands. During the trip you will pass hot sulphur springs at Sipoholon. From Tarutung, the center of the Protestant Batak church, you continue driving until Padang Sidempuan, a city in the middle of Mandailing land. Overnight stay in hotel Natama in Padang Sidempuan.

Day 11: PADANG SIDEMPUAN – SIPIROK - BUKITTINGGI

Padang Sidempuan / Sipirok - Bukittinggi. The route to Bukittingi in the Minangkabau highlands brings you again right through the Bukit Barisan mountanical ridge of Sumatra. It is an impressive tour in which you drive through a wall of tropical rain forest. En route you pass the equator in the place Bonjol. In the afternoon we arrive in the cool and pleasant town of Bukittingi. 2 overnight stays in hotel Denai or Pusako in Bukittinggi.

Day 12: BUKITTINGGI EXCURSION

Bukittinggi - excursions in the area. In the morning depart to the Minangkabau Palace in Pagaruyung where you will see various aspects of the matriarchal society of the Minangkabau. Our next destination is the Harau nature reserve, famous for its huge rock formations and delightful butterflies. En route you pass Batusangkar where you will see historic rock inscriptions in Hindu-Indian Sanscrit language. In the afternoon we return to Bukittinggi via Lake Singkarak.

Day 13: BUKITTINGGI - PADANG

Bukittinggi – Padang. In the morning a tour in Bukittinggi to the former Fort De Kock, situated on a strategic point on a high mountain. You then visit the market and the famous 'Karbouwengat' (Ngarai Sianok), the impressive canyon beside the city. After that you proceed to Maninjau via the silver town of Kota Gadang on the other side of the Karbouwengat. For the sportive hiker the one hour walk through the deep Karbouwengat to Kota Gadang is a must! From Kota Gadang you will be picked up by the car for departure to the mysterious lake Maninjau, descending to the lake via the road with forty four curves. In the afternoon we drive to Padang via the beautiful Anai valley with the Anai waterfall. The harbour city of Padang on the Indian Ocean is the economic centre of West Sumatra. Overnight stay in Hotel Pangeran’s Beach or hotel Ambacang in Padang.

Day 14: PADANG - MEDAN

Padang – transfer to airport for the flight to your next destination to Medan. Upon arrival in Medan, we will proceed to hotel Deli River in Medan for overnight stay.

Day 15: MEDAN – JAKARTA - MAKASSAR

Medan – Airport. Today we will transfer you to the airport of Medan to catch your flight to Makassar via Jakarta. From the airport of Makassar transfer directly to Hotel for accommodation.

Day 16: MAKASSAR - BIRA

After breakfast drive to Bira. On the way we will visit Bissapu waterfall. After lunch we continue drive to Bira for accommodation. In the afternoon you have time to walk on the sandy beach at Bira and waiting for the sunset.

Day 17: BIRA

After breakfast we go to Liukang Island by boat for snorkeling and back to Bira in the afternoon.
 
Day 18: BIRA - SENGKANG

After breakfast we drive to Sengkang located in the center of the Former Buginese Kingdom. Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Sengkang. In the afternoon we will try to catch the beautiful views of the sunset over the Lake Tempe. We will cross the lake by motorized canoe and we will visit the fisherman families who do live on the floating villages. Overnight at guesthouse in Sengkang.

Day 19: SENGKANG - TORAJA

After breakfast we drive to Toraja. Luch at Puncak Lakawang with very nice view of Gunung Nona/ Erotic Mountain. After lunch we continue drive to Toraja. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 20: TORAJA

After breakfast, a full day exploring Toraja. First visit Lemo to see rows of Tau Tau statues and hanging graves. Suaya the cliff graves then Londa, to see an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. At Kete Kesu we can see Tongkonan, old rice barns, and traditional woodcarving. Lunch will be served in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 21: TORAJA

After breakfast, another full day discovery tour of Toraja, this time visiting Pallawa and Nanggala, traditional Torajan villages renowned for their large Tongkonans and rice barns. Lunch in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 22: TORAJA – PARE PARE

After breakfast, we set out on a half day trip to Batutumonga, enjoying superb views over Rantepao and surrounding valleys. Lunch will be served in local restaurant. After lunch we drive to Pare Pare for dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 23: PARE PARE - MAKASSAR - JAYAPURA

After breakfast we drive back to Makassar. On the way we will stop at Kampung Berua , where we will exploring a beautiful village by canoe and take a short walk . Here we will see the spectacular karts rocks and the beauty of the village and prehistoric cave. In the afternoon we continue drive back to Makassar for accommodation.

Day 24: MAKASSAR – JAYAPURA - WAMENA

Take off to Jayapura Papua in the middle of night and from Sentani Jayapura further flies to Wamena by Baliem Valley. After the arrival in Wamena we go first to the Hotel. In the afternoon we can walk around the town of Wamena.
Day 25: WAMENA – KURIMA – WAMENA
After breakfast at hotel drive to Sogokmo then start to have a day trekking passing some sweet potato fields and enjoy the gorgeous scenery surroundings. You will get to Kurima, the Sub District of the tribe and along the trail you will meet the local people with friendly smiles in their traditional clothes. After picnic lunch, heading back to Sogokmo where the cars pick you up for Wamena. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 26: SALTSPRING, KURULU-MUMMY TRADITIONAL DANI HAMLET

In the morning one hour drive to Jiwika in the central Baliem-Valley. Start of a one hour-long walking-tour uphill (about 300 m height) trough a beautiful mountain-rainforest to the traditional salt spring of a Dani clan. Native women in traditional costumes accompany us. They will demonstrate the old way of the salt production. After the relegation we have lunch on the mountains base. After lunch we walk to the close Kurulu hamlet, where a very old mummy of the famous Dugum clan can be admired. Afterwards the women show us how the brought brine is processed. In the neighbourhood we see more picturesque hamlets. Everywhere the friendly natives offer their arts and crafts, weapons and curiosities. In the afternoon drive back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 27: WAMENA – JIWIKA – WAMENA               

Afetr breakfast leaving the Resort for a full-day traditional pig-festival in a Dani Village. Your chance to see a full ceremony and take pictures from each event. The traditional pig cooking with hot stones is one of the most interesting events on the highland of Irian Jaya.

Day 28: WAMENA - JAYAPURA
After breakfast at hotel, leaving for Wamena Airport to get Trigana 1st Flight to Jayapura. The flight takes about 50 minutes and at Sentani Airport you will be picked up and checked in at Hotel. You may have a full day sightseeing tour including Mac Arthur 2nd Worl War Monument, Sentani Lake and its small islands, museum, and Hamadi Market. Lunch served at a restaurant by the lake. Back to hotel late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 29: JAYAPURA – DEPARTURE
Leaving the hotel after breakfast for Sentani Airport. Depart to your next destination.
